Solo Travel – 10 Reasons Not To Travel Alone

Solo travel is fashionable today. It is presented as the ultimate Nirvana. Solo travelers (real or fake) think of themselves as elite in a way, putting themselves above the mere mortal travelers who do not have the courage to travel alone. Magazines, especially those focused on women, are full of taboos associated with traveling solo. […] The post Solo Travel – 10 Reasons Not To Travel Alone appeared first on Inditales .

The Best Walking Tours in Milan

Posted : 11/28/2023 | November 28th, 2023 Milan is one of the design and fashion capitals of the world. But it has more to offer than just luxe fashion and vintage clothing markets. An influential city during the Italian Renaissance (and currently the second-largest in Italy ), Milan is home to a stunning cathedral (that took over 500 years to complete), the 15th-century Sforzesco Castle (which houses Michelangelo’s last sculpture), and Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper , located inside Santa Maria delle Grazie church. There is no shortage of history and culture here. One of the best ways to see everything in the city is with a walking tour. There’s a lot to see and connecting with an expert local guide will help you get a deeper understanding of the city. Here’s my list of the best walking tours in Milan to help you plan your trip, save money, and make the most of your visit! The 5 Best Hostels in Helsinki

Posted : 11/28/2023 | November 28th, 2023 Helsinki is one of the most undervisted capitals in Europe . When visiting Scandinavia, travelers usually flock to Copenhagen or Stockholm, skipping over Finland entirely. Considered one of the world’s most livable cities, Helsinki is filled with beautifully designed architecture, has plenty of relaxing green urban spaces, and is surrounded by over 300 gorgeous islands. The entire city, which is very walkable and bikeable, has a laid-back, almost small-town vibe that’s a welcome respite from other bustling European capitals. It’s the perfect place to slow down while still enjoying an interesting city and culture. But Helsinki has a valid reputation for being pricey, especially when it comes to accommodation. Fortunately, there are a handful of affordable hostels here to keep your costs as low during your visit. To help you find the perfect place to stay, here’s my list of the best hostels in Helsinki. You can’t go wrong in choosing one

Around Review: The Best Place to Take Audio Tours

Posted : 11/13/23 | November 13th, 2023 I love walking tours. The first thing I do when I arrive somewhere is take a walking tour. It’s a great way to get the feel of a new place, see the main sights, and adjust to the local culture. You also get to meet a local expert guide who can answer your questions and give you tips on other spots to check out (I always ask for recommendations for places to eat, for example). But sometimes the dates and times that walking tours are offered don’t line up with my schedule, especially if I’m only in a place for a few days or if I’m visiting when there is a local holiday. I also like to be spontaneous, and often tours are already filled up for the day or don’t allow last-minute registrations. Plus, I really like going at my own pace when exploring a city, and I don’t always feel like being tied to a tour for three hours. In the past, this meant I was just out of luck. But today, there’s another option available: self-guided audio tours. With the
